One Lakeway

As Curator for One Lakeway in Metairie, Louisiana, I commissioned a bespoke series of six large-scale abstract works to complement the property's polished lobby spaces and café. Collaborating with two Argentine artists based in New York City—Lautaro Cuttica and Isadora Capraro—the curation brought a dynamic and refined artistic perspective to the newly built property.

Cuttica, whose work bridges architectural space and painting, created pieces for the lobby that evoke a sense of structure and spatial harmony. With a rich career spanning international exhibitions and private collections, his paintings reflect an innovative approach to form and movement. For the café, Capraro's vibrant abstract figurations emphasize the connection between physical and spiritual realms, infusing the space with energy and introspection. Her work, shaped by apprenticeships under renowned artists and a history of global exhibitions, resonates with the complexities of the human experience.

Located in the heart of Metairie’s business district, One Lakeway offers stunning views over Lake Pontchartrain and features a dramatic trapezoid design wrapped in reflective glass. Its polished marble and granite interiors, alongside a striking sloping glass atrium, provide an elegant setting that seamlessly blends with the commissioned artworks, enhancing the aesthetic and experiential quality of this high-profile property.
